We haven't been to Glasgow for quite a while, but it is beautiful. We went to the Botanical Gardens. We did a lot of site seeing, went on the on off tour bus. We also went to a 70th birthday party of our friend who came over to Glasgow from Australia where he live now, but originally he is from Glasgow.

The area around the hotel in particular is very enjoyable and interesting, with Kelvingrove Park, The Kelvingrove Museum, and the Botanical Gardens all being close. The Kelvingrove / Finnieston area is a bit more relaxed and laid-back than the city centre but it has a lot of really nice pubs, bars, cafes, and restaurants too. Public transport to the centre and to other parts of Glasgow is good.

It is a lovely city with lots of character and choices for food and drink. There is also a good array of visitor attractions and a rich history to the place. I was pleasantly surprised by the art scene not only current, but I discovered in its museum collections some Scottish artists from 1920s, 30s etc. that I was not aware of. Also cultural movements and societal - lost to offer. Would have loved to stay longer and actually explore its surroundings (walks or treks). For those who like to explore on foot: large streets, clean, safe - you can walk easily around the city despite the hilly setting. For those who like to use public transport - at this time (april 2024) the city is under a lot of upkeep and street repairs so it's not so reliable transport wise or as quick.
The hotel was walkable distance to the city centre and a variety of restaurants. Kevingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Park and the University of Glasgow. The room was not like the pictures on the profile but it still look good and clean. The room was spacious, had sufficient storage for a short stay, clean and spacious bathroom with good hot water flow. The guest house is generally clean. The reception was in the building across and the host was really friendly. There is a lot of parking around the area and it is free between 6pm to 8am.
As a solo traveller, from arrival, I was made to feel very welcome by the friendly staff and was pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the rooms. The location is spot-on for anyone looking to explore the fantastic restaurants, bars and cafes in Finnieston, and just a ten-minute walk to both the West End and the city centre. The hotel's bar/restaurant was well managed and had fantastic live music, a bonus and a new music venue for Glasgow's talented musicians. I will definitely stay again. Thanks again, Robin and team!
Our apartment was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed for a one week stay.
Location is great, right in the city centre. 10 minute walk to Glasgow Central station or the West End. No car park but there is on street parking or a Q-park 2 minutes away. Plenty of shops within walking distance.
Housekeeper was lovely, you do need to book your clean but they were more than accommodating.
Overall, great value for money compared to neighbouring hotels.
The efficiency of check in, helpfulness and attentiveness of staff.
Jacks bar was a lovely quiet, subdued vibe. Swift service.
Our room was a lovely size, it felt opulent.
The location was fairly central - easy to walk most city centre places.
It's a great hotel and I enjoyed our stay.
It was nicely located central in Glasgow. We stayed one night to attend a show in Edinburgh because hotels in Edinburgh during Fringe were too expensive. From here we could easily get to the train line and be in Edinburgh in an hour. For this purpose the hotel was good.
Hotel is extremely well located if you are visiting Glasgow and want to be in the city centre. Especially good if you are attending concerts in the city. Breakfast was plentiful. Staff very friendly. Room well appointed. Value for money.
Great location in the city centre! Car park across the street (cheap for hotel guests). Laundry service. Great staff. Good breakfast. I've been there for the 3rd time, and I'll always book my room(s) there whenever I'm in Glasgow.
Beautiful building in the very desirable Kelvinbridge neighbourhood. It’s not too close to city centre, but a short walk away are lovely shops, restaurants and a great hip vibe near Kelvingrove park and the university of Glasgow.
This is a very contemporary hotel with an excellent location to the city centre. The breakfast choice was great. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be staying here again when visiting Glasgow next.
Location is perfect with parking at city centre, Price, Staff are very friendly , Beds are very comfy. Very modern and spacious apartments as compared to studios what everyone get at a Aparthotels
Location to city centre and a concert I attended at City Hall. Staff was so friendly and helpful, really made me feel welcome in Glasgow and took care of us. The towel warmers were lovely!
I’ve stayed here a couple of times before. it’s fairly basic but great value for a city centre hotel and the staff are really cheerful.
you also get a great discount at a local NCP car park
The location is right by Glasgow Central Station and the city centre (Buchanan St, Sauchiehall St). The hotel has good, fair pricing. I've not tried the breakfast which costs extra.
Room overlooking the Clyde and railway approach to Glasgow Central. Nice restaurant and lounge area in historic Old Custom House building. The hotel was near the city centre.
Breakfast selection good, paid for separately, £19, expensive however, at YOHOTEL it is £10
Third stay in similar type of Glasgow city centre hotel this year, best yet.
